Update - going forward

Friends, Romans, Countrymen - lend me your ears!

I am going to take the blog in a slightly different direction from now on. Most of it is staying the same, but I feel the 'Game Flow' sections have been too bloated with unnecessary details. As a result, I plan to significantly trim down this section. 

To replace it, over the break I have been teaching myself about hockey analytics. I plan to incorporate more statistical tracking and analysis to help ground my 'final thoughts' in more data-driven foundations (sorry, I know this sounds like a LinkedIn post now).

Anyway, I hope this is useful. If I ever bump into him again, I plan to ask Coach Karhula if there is anything in particular he would like me to track and analyse for the team. I would love to work for the team one day, so here's hoping!
